Ice Melting Capacity of Brines 25 Degrees F

TEST PROTOCOL:
All ice melt tests were conducted using test protocol from the federally-funded Strategic Highway Research Program. 130 ml of deionized water frozen in 9" x 3/4" plexiglass dishes to the prescribed temperatures. 4.17 g of each deicer were cooled to the prescribed temperature. The deicers were placed on the ice and the testing began. Brine samples were then collected at the appropriate time intervals.
